OBJECTIVES

Sustainable access to water resources is a major concern for all countries in the Mediterranean basin. Climate
 
change and expected urban and demographic growth in the region are likely to aggravate the situation of water
 
stress that is already affecting most countries in the southern and eastern Mediterranean. In Algeria, where the
 
situation of water stress is a reality, the development of strategies aimed at massively mobilizing non-conventional
 
water resources will lead to minimizing the impact on the environment. Organized by the Reaction Engineering
 
research laboratory, this seminar is an opportunity to learn more about the challenges and available solutions in
 
terms of water and sustainable protection of the environment. Likewise, the main objective of this seminar is to
 
provide opportunities for the exchange of knowledge and experience between academics, professionals, experts
 
and industrialists. Interventions and debates will focus on water resources, treatment, reuse and management.
